This iteration of the CABC’s reports on GBV and Misogyny covers online narratives around ever-partnered women aged 16 and above and has six thematic areas, namely: Physical violence, emotional and psychological violence, sexual violence, abuse of minors, the epidemic of gender-based violence and the justice system. The findings suggest that victim blaming remains common place, with IPV being justified by authors online. Emotional and/or psychological violence was found to be minimized and often intertwined with conversation around sexual violence. Finally, the justice system remains plagued with deficiencies in relation to handling IPV matters.
