South Africa’s energy crisis have once again placed our country’s leadership in the spotlight. While some are questioning how we got to this point, others have expressed a lack of trust in the current leadership’s ability to solve these crises. Fuelling this mistrust are concerns around corruption, dubbed as the reason behind the depleting state of our entities and the barrier preventing us from solving a number of social and economic challenges. To understand the online conversation around corruption, the Centre for Analytics and Behavioural Change compiled a report looking into this conversation between 1 – 31 January 2023. The purpose of the report series is to provide ongoing, relevant insights for interventions.
